This shows the situation with the associated 291 facing point reverse. This releases the escapement drive lug (via a point rod drive from the remote point machine) allowing the points to be trailed through. The spring is in the HW hand point type box (into which a hand working lever can be inserted if required). Note no detection on the point end.
