- Contrary to popular belief, yes, we're still making PCBs! Reinforcements of components arrive...
- ...and are quickly put to good use, with several more input & output boards assembled, cleaned & tested
- With more PCBs made, a quick view shows that we're 50% of the way to filling the final two racks
- More tag block soldering is called for; Jamie does the honours while Tom helps test around the front
- Meanwhile, Peter continues to terminate the cables at the PCB end, in readiness for more testing
- Testing reaches Uffington loop...worthy of such a cake-based celebration! The look westwards shows just how far we've come
- More parts arrive, allowing the telephone concentrator keyboards to have complete button sets again - can you spot the new ones?
- Paul tackles the shelving move, cleaning & tidying our stocks; this will help allow the panel to be moved backwards to its final position in due course
- Front doors almost in place
- David, with cutters to the fore, trims back cable ties from tidied cable runs & works on the labelling system.
- Tiles now carefully sorted & stored on polystyrene sheets for potential future use.
- Another working day: John begins by stripping down our spare dominos stock into their respective pieces.
- Meanwhile, Peter continues the terminating & soldering of 8-core cables at the tag blocks...plenty of practice still available for those that want it!
- The finished article: an easy to identify, very neat end result - a great improvement!
- With the Panel behind the external wall to the right, substantial restoration works to the air raid shelter are evidenced here.
- ...then smooths the concrete to the desired finish; a good job well done!
- Richard (GWS's Civil Engineering Manager), having put in place some complex shuttering, pours the concrete for the front double-door sill...
- Building works continue, with the two loft areas receiving their flooring.
- As the flooring is completed, the electricians begin to install the required conduit for lighting, alarms, etc.
- PCBs continue to be received & tested before being installed in the panel - certainly a railway theme accompanying the parcel here...
- ...whilst other completed PCBs proudly state their country of origin!
- Behind the panel, the all-important earthing wire is installed...
- ...whilst to the front of the panel, SPS members make great progress with inserting the microchips into the PCBs & testing the finished product.
- Outside, the new pathway boundary wall takes shape, with further works on the air-raid shelter (extreme left) also continuing apace.
- Meanwhile, the Bristol Group install the first lamps back into their Bristol East panel - can you spot them among all that daylight?
- Behind the panel, John installs the first PCB into Rack 1, the final rack to receive them - well done that man!
- There's still plenty of tag block work to complete, yet Jamie's rapid soldering skills mean that Swindon Station is getting ever closer.
- More installation & fault-finding in progress, with Danny to the fore!
- The computer desk comes into its own as panel testing continues...
- ...whilst Peter gets to grips with making as many power jumper cables for the PCBs as possible.
- Further PCB installation, with the end of the panel very much in sight - Jerry carefully threads the ribbon cable down towards the correct socket on the TC64 units.

- The front entrance path progresses...
- ...whilst the side path, seen here from the rear of the signalling building, is all but complete - excellent work!
