The train has come up the Down Main from Swindon Platform 4 due to engineering works and has a number 1 junction indicator at SN.683 at Bourton to return to the Up Main.

The new signal on the left will be SW.1138, that will replace the functionality of SN.83 (left, on the cantilever) when Swindon Panel closes. The 1960's MAS gantry is unsuitable for the 25kV OHLE about to be installed. SN.683 (right, on the cantilever), will be replaced by SW.1140, also on its own post, to the right of the track, blocked by the HST in the photo.
