Derailment at Highworth Jn

Not plain sailing at Highworth Jn.

The loco was travelling from the direction of the man in the orange overalls.
A spring hanger fractured on the loco causing the derailment.

I had just dropped off the loco front steps to close the access gates to Jack Deans Oils after depositing oil tankers.

Whilst I closed and lock the gates the other shunter would change and clip the points for trains heading down the Highworth Branch for trains to Rover Sidings.

The main lines are to the left, this photo was probably taken from Gypsy Lane footbridge. The up yard is to the top left of the photo, the branch towards Highworth Rover (and originally Highworth town) is on the middle right, and the line at the bottom right went into the oil depot, parallel to the Up Main.
